Fans of the humorous newsreel "Jumble" are familiar with the charming and good-natured characters of Mikhail Kazakov. It was as if created for this project, and the textured appearance of the young actor perfectly conveyed the characters of his heroes. Kazakov was also remembered by the audience for the role of Ilya Polezhaikin from the series "Daddy's Daughters".

Childhood, family, "Jumble"
The biography of Mikhail Sergeyevich Kazakov dates back to January 2, 1988 in the city of Kalinin, now called Tver. He was born into a wealthy family, where one son was already growing up - his older brother Stas. My father was in the carbonated drinks business. He called the brand uncomplicated - his name is “Cossacks”.
Without experiencing a lack of financial resources, Michael's family traveled a lot. The boy spent his summer holidays outside the city: riding a bicycle, gardening, and conducting fun experiments. He studied well at school, although he could play a trick.
In 2002, a chubby guy was invited to shoot in the newsreel "Jumble". In just two years, the number of episodes with his participation exceeded 20. Thanks to his young appearance, which did not correspond to his real age, Mikhail starred in Jumble before the age of 16, and not until 14, like most other actors. Kazakov can be seen in the following series of children's film magazine:
- "Learn, study, study";
- "Medical history";
- "Iron logic";
- "Defender";
- "Visual lesson";
- "Lawless Heart".
After participating in the "Jumble" Mikhail appeared fans, they began to recognize him on the street. At the same time, despite the popularity, hard times came in the life of the young actor. In 2003, the head of the Kazakov family died from stab wounds, but the killer managed to avoid severe punishment. He was convicted of exceeding the limits of self-defense. Then Michael could not even think that he would soon find himself in a similar situation.
Murder or self-defense?
In January 2005, the city of Tver was shocked by the news that a local star, Misha Kazakov, was charged with the murder of 20-year-old guy Kirill Gurkin. The journalists found out the circumstances of the tragedy from the relatives of the deceased.
That day, Michael was going to the draft board, but on the way met Glory and Vika - school friends. The girl asked the guys for help. She recently broke up with her young man, but wanted to see him again and finally clarify everything. She needed fame and Misha for moral support. By the way, until that fateful day, Kazakov had never met Kirill Gurkin, Victoria's former boyfriend, before.
Young people went into the porch where the murdered man lived and called him into conversation. Cyril went down to them with a bottle of beer. Unexpected guests also consumed something strong. A conflict broke out between Vika and her ex-boyfriend, Cyril tried to use physical force against her. Michael could not stay away and rushed to protect the girl. Somewhere a week before the tragedy, they tried to rob him, but Kazakov repulsed the attacker and took the knife from him.
In the heat of struggle with this knife, Mikhail delivered three blows to Kirill Gurkin - two in the heart and one in the carotid artery. The victim died before the ambulance arrived. His killer was next to him, trying to stop the heavy bleeding. Kazakov immediately admitted his deed. He told me that he had never experienced any romantic feelings for Victoria, but simply stood up for the weak in a critical situation.
Classmates, teachers of school number 46, where Mikhail studied, stood up for his defense. No one believed that this calm, gentle, harmless guy is capable of cold-blooded murder. Moreover, not very good rumors circulated about the murdered Gurkin. His mother was deprived of parental rights, a grandmother raised a boy, but at the age of 20 he did not have a permanent job, he abused alcohol and, according to rumors, took drugs.
While the investigation was ongoing, Kazakov remained at large, attended school. His case was re-qualified from article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (intentional homicide) to article 108 (exceeding the limits of necessary self-defense). The mother and grandmother of the deceased filed a motion to dismiss the criminal case in connection with the moral and material reconciliation of the parties. As a result, the court acquitted Kazakov.
Return to profession and further life
After leaving school, Mikhail left for Moscow, entered the financial and legal academy. He planned to get two diplomas at once: a financier and a translator in the field of information systems. Kazakov did not forget about the movie: in 2005, he starred in the episode of the thriller “Escape”, and in 2006 - in the film “Day of Money”.
In 2007, the actor was offered a role in the sitcom “Daddy's Daughters”. In the story, his hero - Ilya Vasilyevich Polezhaykin - studied in the ninth grade, and Kazakov at that time was 19 years old. But again, a rare feature helped him look much younger than his age. In the story, Polezhaykin, a double, is studying in the same class with one of the main characters of the series - Galina Sergeevna, who, on the contrary, is extremely intelligent and educated. The girl helps a bad-going classmate in school, and later a romantic relationship is struck between them. Mikhail Kazakov took part in all twenty seasons of the series for six years.
As he grew older, the actor began to change, getting rid of the image of a funny fat man. During his work at Dad’s Daughters, he lost about 20 kilograms, reviewing nutrition and adding regular sports. In addition to filming in the series, during this period, the actor was busy in several more projects:
- the series "My Fair Nanny 2" - series 169 (2008);
- humorous program "Wick" (2008);
- comedy sketch show "6 frames" (2008, 2011);
- the film "Stroybatya" (2010);
- the film "Shores" (2013).
Kazakov also tried his hand at the theater. He played the role of the Hippo cat in the play "Master and Margarita" directed by Sergei Aldonin. The production was on the stage of the Stanislavsky Moscow Theater.
At some point, Mikhail realized that he no longer wanted to act in films and went into business. In his native Tver, he opened a clothing store, organized the KinoDom casting agency, and then created its branches in other cities of the country. Kazakov’s return to the cinema took place in 2017 in the comedy “President’s Vacations”, where he played a small role as a traffic police officer.
