In winter and summer, on a weekday and a weekend, the flow of pilgrims to the icon of the Matrona of Moscow, located in the Pokrovsky monastery in Moscow, does not dry out. One can relate to miracles in different ways, but there is undeniable evidence that the blind Matron "saw" much more than her contemporaries thought.

Unusual girl
Even before the birth of Matron, her mother dreamed of a white dove without eyes. Later, the woman realized that this was a prediction about the birth of a blind child in the family. Matron was born blind. When the girl began to grow up, she showed a gift to treat people for diseases. The whole village in the Tula region, in which an amazing girl was born, flocked to the Matronushi house, as she was affectionately called.
Soon, the matron Matron predicted the events that shocked Russia. This is a revolution, a civil war. For several years she persistently asserted a threat to Russia from the West. This prediction was only guessed in 1941, when fascist Germany brought down blows to the Union.
An interesting fact is that Stalin repeatedly visited Matron during the Great Patriotic War - at that time she already lived in Moscow. It is noteworthy that the Germans never reached the capital. However, not only the leader of the peoples was entering the house of the soothsayer. People came to her for help and advice. Matron’s contemporaries recalled that she answered negatively when asked whether to leave Moscow in connection with the outbreak of the war.
Shortly before the death of Matron, Moscow prophesied about a change of leadership in power in the Soviet country, argued that leaders who would lead the country to ruin would come to replace each other.
Interestingly, Matron made a prediction regarding herself. She said that after death she would be forgotten for several decades. However, later people will remember her and come to her. Evidence of this can be seen in the monastery at her icon, and in the Danilovskoye cemetery, where the Russian soothsayer is buried. You can hear about the miracles performed by the Matronushka in the line to her relics in the Pokrovsky monastery. They say that if a saint helped, heard a begging person, then we must come to her again and thank her.
