early years
The girl was born in Mexico in the summer of 1983 in a creative family. Her father was an artist, and her mother was an actress who worked on television and in the theater. Martha has a younger sister, who also chose the acting profession.
From an early age, the girl began to dance, attending a choreographic studio. She performed on stage in a children's group, performing folk dances, flamenco and jazz. At the same time, she first went on the stage in one of the theatrical productions.
When Martha was fourteen, she moved to Mexico City, where she opened up new opportunities for the development of her creative abilities. Less than a year later, Igareda was already performing on the stage of one of the local theaters.
At the age of fifteen, the girl entered the university at the Faculty of Communications and at the theater school, where she began to study the basics of the acting profession.
On television, the artist made her debut in 1999, becoming the host of the Disney Channel show.
Film career
A career in a big movie could begin with Martha back in 2000. Noticing a talented and beautiful girl on one of the television programs, she was invited to undergo tests for the main role in an erotic drama. Marta successfully passed the selection, but did not receive the role.
The reason for the refusal was the age of the actress. At the time of filming, she was only seventeen years old. There was no question that a girl who did not reach adulthood would act in frank scenes.
The debut in the big movie took place with Martha only two years later. We can say that the actress was lucky, because she became the performer of the leading role in the film F. Sarignana "It hurts to love, " based on Shakespeare's work "Romeo and Juliet."
After the release of the picture on the screens, Marta instantly became one of the most popular Mexican actresses. Particular attention was paid to it by the male representatives. Martha even got the nickname "Mexican Cutie".
After a successful debut, Igarede began to receive new offers from famous directors. She starred in several films at once, and soon became the owner of the Silver Goddess and Mexican Academy Awards.
In the early 2000s, the actress was invited to shoot in Hollywood. She got a role in the film "Beyond Fear." After the premiere, the girl met an agent for recruitment, who invited her to come to Los Angeles. Martha agreed without hesitation. From that moment, the career of a young actress in the United States began.
Arriving in Hollywood, Martha almost immediately got a role in the thriller “Kings of the Streets”. She was lucky to be on the set with famous actors: C. Reeves, C. Evans and F. Whitaker.
Having become famous not only in her homeland, but also in America, in 2010 Martha returned from Mexico, where she continued to act in films and first tried herself as a producer and screenwriter. The picture "Imagine Laura", shot according to the script of Igareda, instantly became the leader of the rental.
Two years later, the actress received her next award - the Mayahuel Award for acting in the film "Mariachi".
In 2018, Igareda won the lead role in Netflix's new Transformed Carbon project. The actress plans for the coming years to continue working with Netflix, as well as working in several new films.
