Marina Zhuravleva is a composer, songwriter and performer who gained special popularity in the early 90's. She was remembered for the song hits "White Bird Cherry", "Pink Dawn", "My Heart Wounds" and many others. Now she practically does not give concerts, but, despite this, her life is of interest to fans.
Childhood and youth
Zhuravleva Marina Anatolyevna was born on July 8, 1963. Khabarovsk became her hometown, in which she spent almost all her childhood. Her father was a soldier by profession, and her mother devoted her free time to household chores and raising her daughter. Interest in music in a little Marina arose in early childhood. When she was 13 years old, the family moved to live in Voronezh. There she received primary musical education, took part in competitions of local and regional significance, became the soloist of the city ensemble.
At the age of 16, the girl received an invitation to become a soloist of the Silver Strings group. She was offered the position of soloist. As part of the vocal and instrumental ensemble, she went on her first tour, which lasted about 4 months.
At the age of 17, Marina entered the pop music department at the Voronezh College of Music. But Marina did not graduate from this institution because she married and gave birth to a child. After a while, she transferred to Moscow for further training. According to the singer herself, it was at the Gnesins Moscow School that she was going to enter initially, but because of the competition she was late for entrance exams.

In 1983, Marina ceases cooperation with VIA "Silver Strings". And in 1986, having successfully graduated from the Gnesins Moscow Music College, he began working in the Sovremennik jazz orchestra, led by Anatoly Kroll. But after some time, Marina left work in this team. In the late 90s, she was offered to work in the United States. Since that time, the singer’s popularity in Russia has faded a little, but the singer herself got the opportunity to live and work in foreign countries: Germany, Canada, Israel.
