Lucretia Borgia, the illegitimate daughter of Pope Alexander VI, a woman who has been married three times, a pawn in the hands of her father, was born on April 18, 1480 in a place called Subiako. Father gave the girl to raise his cousin Adriana de Mila. Adriana worked hard on her relative: the girl spoke excellent languages, danced well and knew the sciences. Such an education later helped Lucretia become an influential person. By her 13 years, the girl was twice engaged, but before the wedding, the deal never came.
The personal life of the Italian beauty
For the first time, Lucretia married Giovanni Sforza in 1493 at the behest of her father. Pope Alexander VI received a favorable relationship with the nephew of the ruler of Milan, and Giovanni, in addition to his bride, 31 thousand ducats and a place in the papal army. However, this marriage did not last long. Due to changes in the political situation, the pope was forced to ask for consent to divorce, stipulating that Lucretia remained a virgin. The husband’s inability to fulfill marital obligations in the Middle Ages was one of the few reasons for divorce. Giovanni, although he feared shame, he signed the necessary papers, and the marriage was declared invalid in December 1497. Offended by Sforza did not tolerate resentment and spread a rumor about Lucretius's intimate proximity with his father. The second husband of Lucretia was the illegitimate son of King of Naples, Alfonso of Aragon. Soon, Borgia's friendship with the French alerted Alfonso's father, and her husband had to leave his wife for a while.
