Lorraine Bracco is an American actress, director and producer. She became an Academy Award nominee for her supporting role in Martin Scorsese’s Good Fellows. Also, Lorraine has repeatedly been nominated for prizes: Golden Globe and Emmy. The actress played one of her best roles in the television series "The Soprano Clan."

The girl was born in the USA, in the fall of 1955. Her ancestors on the father's side were Italians, and her mother was born in England. Thanks to this, Lorraine perfectly mastered several languages at once. She speaks English, French and Italian.

Two years after leaving school, Bracco left for France, where she began her career as a model with Jean-Paul Gaultier.

Bracco began her creative career in cinema with small roles in television projects in France. Returning to the United States in the early 80s, she continued to appear on television. And only in 1987 she received the first serious role in the film "The One Who Protects Me".
Then came the work in the films: "Sing, " "Dream Team, " "On a Moonlit Night, " "Sea of Love." In 1990, the actress was invited to the shooting of the picture "Goodfellas", directed by the famous M. Scorsese.
Bracco appeared on the set with famous actors: Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci, Ray Liotto. The girl played the role of the wife of a gangster. For her work, the artist was nominated for an Oscar in the category "Best Actress in a Supporting Role", as well as for a number of other cinema awards.

In the late 90s, Bracco received one of her most successful roles. She played Jennifer Melfi in the cult television project "The Sopranos." The picture was created by director D. Chase, broadcast on the HBO channel for several years. In total, six seasons of the project were shot, the last of which was released in 2007.
