Biography and personal life
Lily is the daughter of playwright David Rabe. Her mother is actress Jill Kleiberg, who passed away in 2010. In addition to Lily, 2 brothers grew up in the family, one of whom chose an acting career, and the other a musical one. Lily's father is Catholic, and grandfather and grandmother were Jewish and Protestant. The future actress spent her childhood in Bedford, and later moved to Lakeville in Connecticut. Lily graduated from Hotchkiss.
In her youth, the actress danced and taught ballet. It was in the lessons that she was noticed and invited to participate in the play. Lily thought about her acting career. In 2004, Rabe graduated from Northwestern University.
Since 2013, Lily has been living with actor Hamish Linklater. Together they raise a daughter who was born in 2017. Before Rab, Hamish had been in a ten-year marriage to playwright Jessica Goldberg, from whom he had his first daughter.
Career
