Honored Artist of the Russian Federation - Larisa Andreevna Kuznetsova is, in her own words, primarily a theater actress. However, in her filmography there are three dozen films and series that brought her fame. She fell in love with the general public for her roles in the films "Relatives" and "Five Evenings."
In her numerous interviews about professional work, Larisa Kuznetsova constantly states that she is preferable to play in ten performances than to hold out for one day on the set. It was the Mossovet Theater that immediately became, after the legendary GITIS, its creative home, on the stage of which she still performs. It is noteworthy that this choice was made with the direct participation of Oleg Tabakov himself.
Short biography of Larisa Kuznetsova
On August 25, 1959, the future theater and film actress was born in the capital of our country. Despite the fact that the girl was brought up in a low-income family, her addiction to acting was manifested especially strongly in the ninth grade of high school, when she, having overcome a serious competition, entered the theater studio, which Konstantin Raikin recruited.
It was here that she met Oleg Tabakov, who was one of her teachers. Admiration for this great artist Larisa Kuznetsova carried through her whole life. Studying in a theatrical studio confirmed the aspiring actress in the correctness of their choice, despite the fact that parents were categorically against these classes, which inevitably influenced the decline in performance in secondary school.
After receiving a certificate of secondary education, the girl from the first attempt entered GITIS. By the way, she still considers her entering a university one of the main victories in life, as she had to overcome the high competition there at the maximum of her creative abilities.
Creative career of the actress
Larisa Kuznetsova’s cinematic debut took place when she was still a university student, with the assistance of Oleg Tabakov, who recommended her to Nikita Mikhalkov for the role in the film “Five Evenings” (1978). It was Katie’s role in this film project that immediately made her recognizable throughout the country.
After graduating from GITIS, the aspiring actress immediately immediately plunged into the theatrical life of the Mossovet Theater, where after a series of minor and minor roles came the audience sympathy and the recognition of the directors. Among the many theatrical projects that have remained behind the Honored Artist of Russia today, it is worth highlighting the images of Regan in “King Lear”, Masha in “Seagull”, Nadi in “Future Wanderers”, Alice in “Black Midshipman” and many others.
It is noteworthy that Larisa Kuznetsova at one time rejected the offer of her beloved mentor to go to the Snuffbox, making priority at the Mossovet Theater, which she never regretted, since it was on these stages that she was able to achieve recognition of the entire Russian theater community. By the way, the actress more than once during her long creative career rejected the proposals of directors to act in various film projects due to the high employment in her native theater.
