Biography
Anatoly Krupnov was born in 1965 on March 21, in the capital of Russia Moscow. He was not the only child in the family; Toli had a sister, Natasha. His father worked as an engineer, and his mother worked in the Ministry of Education. Anatoly and his sister were “do not spill water” - together they studied at the music school in the violin class, together they appeared on stage and performed in the pioneer house. Krupnov studied in a specialized class with an in-depth study of physics and mathematics, and studied well. In school, Krupnov also loved sports, he was involved in athletics. After graduation, Anatoly entered MADI. But he never received a higher education.
Krupnov Sr., after a protracted cancer, died early. From that moment, Anatoly vowed to take any money from his mother and promised to earn money himself. During his short life, he changed a huge number of jobs. At first he got a job at VDNH as a color corrector, but it turned out that he was allergic to chemicals. He took the post of electrician. Before Anatoly Krupnov became a famous rocker, he managed to work as a janitor, fireman, locksmith and managed to master a lot of other professions.
Career
The first serious band in which Anatoly got a job as a bass player was Prospect. There he made friends with whom he later created the famous "Black Obelisk". The original name "Monument" did not take root and Krupnov, inspired by his beloved author Erich Maria Remarque, called the group "Black Obelisk". The exact date of the founding of the collective is unknown, but it is generally accepted that this is August 1, 1986.
Each appearance of the group on stage was an unusual and vivid mystical show. Even breaks between compositions were absent as such, pauses were filled with various noises and sounds. Also, the group's performance was accompanied by a carefully thought out and staged light show. "Black Obelisk" is rapidly gaining momentum, in 1987 a debut album was recorded, but due to poor-quality recording, the record was not released. In the same year, the first clip of Midnight was shot and edited.
In 1988, the group suddenly broke up for everyone. The reason was the internal conflict between Krupnov and one of the group’s technicians. After that, Anatoly sets off for free swimming and joins the thrash metal band Shah. Two years spent in the new team were not in vain, the group recorded the Beware album in Munich, after which they went on a tour of Germany. Returning to his homeland, Krupnov announced that he would soon leave the group, but before that he himself had found a replacement and taught everything he needed.
Saying goodbye to Shah, Krupnov announced the revival of the Black Obelisk. At the sunset of the Soviet Union, Obelisk finally recorded the official album, called the Wall. The group is once again becoming popular, new videos are being shot, continuous live performances and new albums are not long in coming.

Restarting the "Walls", with a new arrangement and easy corrections in the performance, and the collection "I remain", the eponymous song from which becomes a real hit.
At the same time, Anatoly is trying to record a solo album, titled "Krupsky and associates." The only solo work in the framework of "Krupsky and associates" was released after the death of the musician.
