Dina was born in Smolensk in 1971, and spent happy childhood in this city. She and her mother lived in a communal apartment, were friends with neighbors - it was a big friendly family. Children constantly played together, held concerts, inviting adults as spectators.
Dina grew up as a gifted child: she drew well, studied ballet. Therefore, she simultaneously attended an art school and a modern dance studio.
After school, Dina entered the pedagogical institute to study art graphics, but did not feel much joy from this lesson. Then the future actress left the university and went to Moscow to enter the Moscow Art Theater School.
Then there were the student years, when Dina realized that she had found "her own business."
Theater career
In the penultimate course of the Moscow Art Theater School, Korzun played in the play "Love in the Crimea" - this was her first work. And after graduation, she became an actress of the Moscow Art Theater named after A.P. Chekhov, where she was immediately entrusted with major roles: what are Katerina in "Thunderstorm" and Sonya Marmeladova in "Crime and Punishment."
However, the young actress was disappointed with the work in the theater: high school students who were not interested in what was happening on stage came to the performances. And no matter how the actors did their best, the thoughts of the children were not about the performance.
Therefore, in 2000, Korzun left the theater, as she thought, completely. However, later, in London, she will return to the stage again.
Movie career
Dina began acting in films as a student, and on the set she was much more interested than in the theater - here she experienced a sense of satisfaction from her beloved business. Especially after the painting "Land of the Deaf" (1998), which made her not only famous, but also loved by the audience. And her work in the film was awarded prestigious awards for a successful debut: "Nika", "Golden Aries" and "Stars of Tomorrow."
It seemed that the role of the deaf-mute Yaya would bring her not only fame, but also new proposals from the directors, but this did not happen - there were no interesting roles.
And only a few years later she was invited by the British director Pavel Pavlikovsky in the film "The Last Shelter" (2000) about the fate of a Russian immigrant. Europe enthusiastically accepted this film, Korzun received many awards for it, but there was no film rental in Russia.
Another major role is the role of the Russian girl in the film “Forty Shades of Sadness” (2004) by Hollywood director Ira Saks. And again, the award: Grand Prix of the Sundance Festival.
2007 has come - the year of the return of Dina Korzun-Frank to the theatrical stage, to the Royal National Theater of London. And here she not only embodies various images, but also acts as a producer.
And one of her last film roles took place in the TV series "Londongrad" in 2015.
In addition to theater and cinema, Korzun has another favorite brainchild: Give Life fund, which they created together with Chulpan Khamatova. The foundation provides assistance to children with serious illnesses.
