Cory Everson is a famous athlete, a six-time winner of the Miss Olympia tournament. She also works on television, does charity work and releases her own line of sports nutrition.
Biography
Cory was born in 1959 in the city of Racine (Wisconsin, USA) in a family of German immigrants. Parents were middle-class people with traditional family values.
The girl from early childhood was physically developed and very active. While studying in elementary school, she set a record in long jump from a place. Another sporting achievement already in high school was the fifty-yard record in freestyle.
After graduation, Everson entered the University of Wisconsin at the Department of Physical Education.
Body-building
After graduation, Corey became a triple winner in the pentathlon "Big 10" and began to seriously engage in bodybuilding. She decided to connect her life with professional sports.
The sporting achievements of Corey Everson are impressive. She won the title of "Miss Olympia" and from 1984 to 1989 at all tournaments took first place.
However, the athlete was not so easily given all these victories. In 1981, Corey Everson began to have health problems. In preparation for the next championship, the girl felt a sharp pain in her left leg, but did not interrupt training.
As a result, it turned out that blood clots had formed in her main veins of her left leg. Thanks to the help of doctors and excellent physical shape, Corey quickly recovered, but because of the high blood coagulation, the athlete had to fight blood clots all her life.
