Ivan Pavlovich Konovalov was born on December 25, 1967 in a working-class family. Parents lived in a small town in the territory of the Kemerovo region. My father worked at an enterprise in the coal industry. Mother taught a foreign language at school. The child grew and developed in a healthy environment. He was raised as a future warrior and protector. Ivan did morning exercises, diligently engaged in physical education and hardening.
At school Konovalov studied well. His favorite subjects were literature, history and military affairs. Ivan read a lot. When the family moved to Novokuznetsk, he began to work with a local newspaper. He wrote small notes about the surrounding reality. I tried to write poetry. After the tenth grade, he was taken as a correspondent in the large-circulation newspaper At the Construction Site, where a school graduate worked for several months before being drafted into the army.
Professional activity
Having served his due time in the armed forces, Konovalov returned to civilian life and continued his journalistic career in the Metallurg newspaper at the famous Novokuznetsk Metallurgical Plant. By this time, a self-taught journalist has matured in order to receive a full-fledged specialized education. In 1989, Ivan went to Moscow and entered the journalism department of Moscow State University. As a student, he began to look for jobs on Channel One of Russian television. Edited and conducted a news release in the program "Morning".
Having received a diploma, an already experienced journalist chose the role of a war correspondent. He regularly traveled with the crew to the so-called hot spots. In this capacity, Konovalov learned how people live in Africa, the Middle East, and the North Caucasus. He had to report directly from Iraq, Tajikistan, Serbia and other countries. During this period, Ivan accumulated a huge amount of information for analysis and generalization.
