early years
Klara Mikhailovna was born in Leningrad on December 8, 1929. As a child, she really liked films with Lyubov Orlova, the girl also wanted to become an actress. She sang well, during the war she appeared in the hospital in front of the soldiers. After school, Rumyanova entered VGIK. She studied with Nikolai Rybnikov, Vadim Zakharchenko, Alla Larionova.
Previously, Clara had a low, strong voice, but in the 2nd year she caught pneumonia. There was a complication in the ligaments; for several months Rumyanova did not speak at all. Then the voice returned, but became high.
Creative career
After graduating from GITIS, the actress began to receive many offers about the shooting. In 1954, the famous Pyryev invited her to star in the film "Test of Fidelity", but Klara refused in harsh form. Pyryev was very angry and forbade her from showing up at a television studio.
This incident turned out to be fatal; Clara did not become a screen star. The most famous films with her participation: "Twelve Chairs", "Time, Go!" The main roles she did not get.
In films, Rumyanova first showed vocal abilities, once she voiced the crying of a baby, since the child fell asleep by the time of filming. Later, Clara began to engage in sounding cartoons. For the first time she voiced the film "Wonderful Garden", it happened in 1962.
Over 30 years of work at Soyuzmultfilm, Rumyanova voiced more than three hundred works. Her voice is spoken by the heroes of the movie Cheburashka, Toddler and Carlson, Ricky-tiki-Tavi, "Well, wait a minute!"
Klara Mikhailovna performed children's songs. Her disc “There are a lot of fairy tales in the world” was released in a multi-million circulation. Rumyanova also participated in dubbing foreign films, voiced domestic films for children.
After the collapse of the Union, some actors were left without work, others adapted to changing conditions. Clara Rumyanova was offered many times to voice commercials, but she did not agree and was engaged only in art.
In her free time, she created plays dedicated to the great compatriots. In total, she wrote 11 works, the cycle is called "My Name is a Woman." In recent years, Rumyanova suffered from cancer. She died on September 18, 2004.
