Childhood and Cave's first musical projects
Nicholas Cave was born on September 22, 1957 in the Australian town of Warracnabil. The father of the future rock star (his name is Colin Frank) worked as an English teacher, and his mother (her name is Dawn) was a librarian. Studied Nick Cave in a private school Caulfield, and after graduation, continued his education at an art college.
In 1975, together with his friend Mick Harvey, Nick organized the rock band Boys Next Door. In 1980, one of the group’s songs - "Shivers" - was banned from broadcasting on the radio, and in this regard, the guys decided to change the name of the band to The Birthday Party. The team played very aggressive post-punk and gothic rock, in a sense, its sound and style were ahead of their time. The group toured extensively, including throughout Europe, but in the end, for a variety of reasons, broke up in 1983.
Creativity and personal life of the musician from 1984 to 2000
Soon, a talented Australian guy (by the way, who had moved to England by that time) gathered a new rock band - Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. The first album of this group was released in 1984 and was called "From Her To Eternity". The disc received mainly positive reviews from critics and was enthusiastically received by the audience. Over the next four years, the band released a number of interesting albums - "The Firstborn Is Dead" (1985), "Your Funeral
.My Trial "(1986), " Kicking Against the Pricks "(1986), " Tender Prey "(1988)
And in 1989, Cave tried himself in the field of a writer - he wrote and published the novel "And the Donkey of the Angel of God Behold." He was translated into Russian by Ilya Kormiltsev at the beginning of the two thousandth.
In 1990, Nick Cave met in Brazilian São Paulo a local journalist Vivian Carneiro, and soon she became his first official wife. Nika and Vivian were married for 6 years and divorced in 1996.
These years were very fruitful in terms of creativity, at which time Nick Cave's collective released the albums "The Good Son", "Let Love In", "Henry's Dream". Among the most significant works of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds traditionally include the 1996 album "Murder Ballads". It is here that in the list of tracks you can find a gloomy slow ballad, which Cave performed with the famous singer Kylie Minogue "Where The Wild Roses Grow". She at times increased the popularity of the Australian musician. This, of course, was facilitated by a very beautiful video, where Minogue plays the victim, and Cave the killer. By the way, the text of this ballad is based on a medieval legend.
In 1999, Nick Cave married for the second time - on the model of Suzy Bick, and this marriage continues to this day. In addition to this, it should be noted that in 2000, Susie gave birth to two twins from Cave - Arthur and Earl.
