A native of Moscow and a member of the artistic family (father is an actor of the operetta theater, and mother is a singer), Yevgeny Karelsky is a popular theater and film actor, as well as the holder of the prestigious title of People's Artist of the RSFSR since 1991. Over his shoulders of his creative life there were many theatrical projects and more than fifty film works, which eloquently speaks of his high demand at all stages of his professional career.
Currently, Eugene Karelskikh is a professor at the State Specialized Institute of Arts (GSII), where he transfers his knowledge to students with physical or sensory limitations. The main audience at this only university of this kind in the world is talented young people with poor hearing. It is the kind, responsive and noble character of an experienced artist that allows him to achieve the highest efficiency in this difficult field.
Biography and career of Eugene Konstantinovich Karelsky
On November 4, 1946, the future popular actor was born in the capital of our country. Due to the creative atmosphere in the family, little Eugene quickly realized in which direction he would develop his adult life. While studying in high school, he actively participated in the life of the drama club, attended the drama theater where his father worked.
After receiving a certificate of secondary education Karelsky from the second attempt enters the legendary "Pike" on the course of Anna Orochko and Boris Zakharov. And in 1968, with a diploma in his hands, he became a member of the Mayakovsky Theater troupe for two years, after which he transferred to the Moscow Academic Theater named after Evgeny Vakhtangov, which is his second home so far.
Today in the professional portfolio of the People's Artist of Russia there are already more than three dozen theatrical roles, among which the theater-goers well remembered Prince Myshkin in Idiot, Khrushchov in Lesh, Levin in Anna Karenina, Diomedes in Anthony and Cleopatra, Neil Stratonych in “Guilty Without Guilt” and others. According to the master himself, he worries every time, going to the theatrical stage and he is comfortable in any team. This approach to their creative activities is true professionalism, which is the hallmark of the master.
Now the repertoire of the People's Artist of the RSFSR consists of three theatrical productions in the classical genre: "Queen of Spades", "Guilty Without Guilty" and "Tsarist Hunt".
The cinematic debut of Eugene Karelsky took place in 1967 with the episodic role of Lieutenant-Kappelian in the film "Stars and Soldiers". But real success came when he played the main role of the commander of a passenger aircraft crew in the film "Wingspan" (1986). Currently, the filmography of the popular artist contains dozens of film works, the last of which is the film directed by Andrei Bogatyrev "Bagi" (2010).
