Before the start of the school period, the only example to follow and the source of some knowledge for the child are his parents, grandparents. But already from the age of three, the baby needs to communicate with peers and this opportunity is provided in full by a kindergarten.
Communication is one of the most necessary skills for a normal existence in society, and the basics of this experience are laid precisely in the first few years of a person’s life. The key factor for the child to learn to communicate is the ability to contact with other children and adults, in addition to parents and loved ones. Most of the experience of communication and interaction with others, the child receives in kindergartens, which are public and private. In recent years, in Ukraine, state kindergartens and nurseries cannot guarantee the provision of space for all children, so parents need to take care in advance of finding a kindergarten and preparing the necessary documents.
Rules for admission to kindergarten in Ukraine
Admission of children to kindergarten is carried out by the head of the institution after receiving a package of documents that includes a statement from his parents or one of them, a medical certificate of his health status, a certificate from the local doctor who observes him, the epidemiological environment and the birth certificate of the baby. According to the legislation of Ukraine, the presence of certain vaccinations is not necessary for admission to kindergarten, but practice shows that when selecting candidates, the administration gives preference to those children who have marks on vaccinations. If the child or his family has the right to certain benefits, for example, the right to reduce payment for staying in kindergarten, then parents must also attach documents confirming this to the main package. The procedure and conditions for admitting a child to a private kindergarten are determined by its administration and its owner, and the package of documents for such a kindergarten may differ from the standard.
If parents are denied admission to the kindergarten, then it is necessary to require a written reason for the refusal. This document can then be used to file a lawsuit in court. The likelihood of satisfying such a lawsuit in Ukraine is quite high, since the right to human education is one of the most important constitutional rights.
