In the past two decades, the image of the teacher has undergone significant changes. Now it’s impossible to meet teachers in the life, whose images are captured in an old movie. The reason for this is a change in society and the lives of people as a whole.
About status and respect
The main problem of a modern teacher is the question of his status in society. Until the end of the 2000s he fell rapidly, then as a result of the presidential program, the teacher acquired some kind of material stability. Teachers' salaries today are higher than, for example, in the mid and late 1990s. However, this did not add to the prestige of the teaching profession. Graduates of pedagogical universities, especially men, still do not seek to connect their lives with school.
Teachers today are concerned about the question of reducing the level of respect for him, when any student can practically afford to be rude and rude to him with impunity, not to mention adults. This state of affairs is explained by the decline in morality and moral principles of society, when the problem of respect for elders, including teachers, does not find a solution. The teacher is often one on one with high-demanding parents. It is good if the leadership of the educational institution takes the side of the teacher. But this, as practice has shown, does not always happen.
Moreover, the level of requirements made by the state and society to the school as a whole and to the teacher in particular is consistently high. As stated by the government, by 2020, the image of the teacher should undergo changes. The teacher must be a researcher, educator, musician, project manager and many more.
