You can get the information you need today from several types of sources. Young people most often prefer a worldwide network, where users mainly pay attention not so much to the news itself as to other people's reviews of them. For the most part, the older generation of all the media chooses the old-fashioned newspapers or radio.
The media or abbreviated media are divided into several areas. In the light of the presentation of information, commercial, federal or state, as well as independent media are distinguished. In the direction of information there are thematic, political and entertainment media. But the most common classification of media comes from the methods of conveying certain data to the population.
What do they write in the press?
The oldest type of media is the newspaper. In the form known to us, the newspaper has existed since 1450, when the first printing press appeared. Prior to this, news records in ancient Rome were set out on wooden planks. In Russia in the sixteenth century, the first newspapers were written on paper by hand. And the first printed Russian newspaper was Vedomosti, which appeared in 1702.
Today, newspapers and magazines broadcast traditionally about political and economic events, news in the world of culture and sports, carry announcements and advertisements. Printed materials in the world of information are conducted both on thin gray newsprint and on expensive glossy coated paper. The latter is used by fashion magazines with a large number of illustrations.
Television and radio broadcasting
Radio was invented in Russia in 1895 by the Russian physicist Alexander Stepanovich Popov. At first it was used for scientific and military purposes. Gradually, with the proliferation of radios everywhere, radio became one of the media.
Sound broadcasting of news, advertising and music is now very popular, because in parallel with listening, people can do something else. Due to this, radio, which is almost completely replaced by television broadcasting from homes, has spread in public places, offices, transport, as well as in remote and technically un-equipped areas.
The most popular media is television. Clear and quick delivery of information, the choice of viewing time and the ability to record made this type of broadcasting unique and very convenient. TV became available to every family in our country at the end of the seventies of the last century. And since then he has so absorbed the attention of people that many, especially children, have a painful dependence on television. Some people can spend 8 hours per day on the TV screen.
