Instruction manual
1
Appointments at the embassy are made for all citizens of the Russian Federation and representatives of other countries in a single queue and regardless of the type of issue or problem. The only exceptions are emergency cases. Before recording, think over the tasks, dates and dates of your appeal, choose the most convenient time to travel to the embassy. There are several ways to record.
2
You can sign up online at any time. This system is also convenient because it is free. True, it exists so far only in English, versions in Russian and German are under development. To record on the site, you will need to enter the data of the Russian passport, and for a child under 14 years of age - the data of his birth certificate. If the application is submitted by a non-Russian citizen, he will enter the details of his passport. Even if you are applying for a visa at the consular department of the embassy or at the visa center in Germany, Russian citizens do not need to have a passport at the time of filing such an application, it will be required only at the time of filing.
3
You can sign up for applying for a visa at the consular section of the embassy or at the visa center at most 12 weeks before the desired date of the interview. It should be remembered that the consular department deals with all types of national visas: student, immigration, family reunification visas or language courses for more than 90 days. Tourist visas are handled by the visa center. The entry is made by the passport number of all citizens who want to get a visa. No re-entry is necessary to reduce queues at the embassy. If you want to sign up for another date, you will first have to cancel the application for submitting documents on the site or wait until its deadline expires.
4
Be careful when filling out the application: if you fill out the numbers of your passport or birth certificate incorrectly, you will not be allowed into the visa department and you will have to set a different filing date. For the convenience of users, the website of the German Embassy in Russia has detailed instructions on how to use the electronic recording.
5
The second way to record at the embassy is to make a phone call. A regular call is charged for long-distance calls. For the record you will need the data of your passport. Calls are accepted on weekdays from 8.30 to 17.00, during official Russian holidays the phone does not work.
6
You can also make an appointment to accept documents personally at the embassy. To do this, you need to come to the embassy on Monday or Thursday from 8.15 to 09.00, take with you a Russian passport, as well as a passport, if any. Recording by phone or at the embassy is no different from electronic recording and does not have the advantages of an earlier recording, all applications fall into one database. The only difference between a personal record is that it cannot be undone. Therefore, think over the most suitable date for visiting the embassy by appointment, so that you do not have to wait again for the right day.
