For the activities of the construction organization to be legal, it needs to not only become a member of one and certified SROs, but also obtain admission after paying membership dues and presenting a package of documents confirming its professional viability.

Instruction manual
1
Familiarize yourself with the general provisions and concepts about self-regulatory construction organizations set forth in the Town Planning Code of the Russian Federation (Chapter 6, Article 55) and the Federal Law "On Self-regulatory Organizations".
2
Select CPO. Currently, over 300 such partnerships are registered in Russia. The selection criteria in this case may be loyalty to existing and new members, stable and reliable work of the SRO, the speed of decision-making on the admission of new members, the size of the entry fee and monthly deductions, the location of the SRO. The final choice will help you make recommendations of the current members of a particular SRO, as well as feedback on its activities from third-party organizations. You can also get data of interest on the website of an organization on the Internet.
3
Members of SROs can become both legal entities and individual entrepreneurs. In order for this non-profit partnership to ensure the necessary quality of work performed by its members, all participants must meet certain professional requirements. To enter the SRO of your organization, it is necessary that its staff should have at least 3 employees with higher specialized education, with at least 3 years of experience in the specialty, or at least 5 employees with secondary specialized education and at least 5 years of experience.
4
A prerequisite for joining the SRO is the fact that your employees have taken advanced training courses (at least once every 5 years). The organization must also be equipped with all necessary professional equipment, tools and own or leased premises for the performance of work. And, of course, you must have funds to pay the entry fee and pay membership in SROs on a monthly basis, and you must also collect the entire package of necessary documents.
5
If the above conditions are met, prepare the necessary package of documents consisting of:
- an application for admission to membership of the SRO, indicating the types of work that the organization plans to carry out and the types of tolerances that it or the sole owner intends to apply for;
- copies of certificates of registration with the tax inspectorate, entry into the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, statutory documents notarized;
- copies of documents confirming the necessary qualifications of employees and the availability of equipment, tools and facilities.
Having collected the package, you can send the application and documents to the address of your chosen SRO by mail or hand it in personally if this organization is not very far geographically.
Helpful advice
Individual SROs may have additional requirements and conditions that their participants must meet. Before you submit a package of documents for consideration, clarify these requirements by contacting the self-regulatory partnership of which you want to become a member.
