In one of his poems, Boris Pasternak says that being famous is ugly. “This is not uplifting, ” the poet explains and suggests looking for the goal of creativity in dedication. But not all authors are able to write "on the table." They need a lively reader, a lively reaction to their work, without which they cannot develop as artists, as creators. It is these people who have to puzzle over how to release their own collection of poems.

Instruction manual
1
To get started, collect the material you would like to publish. Usually, works in poetry collections are united according to one or another sign - by topic, date of writing, style, etc. Of course, this is if you have a lot of works. If there’s nothing at all, just typed into a thin collection, then take everything at once.
2
What exactly do you want? So that your collection flaunts on the shelves of bookstores or that the treasured little book is in the home library of your parents and several friends? If the second option is enough for you, then simply make up the collection on a computer in one of the programs (for example, Scribus or PageMaking) and print it on a printer (if the volumes are very small) or on a risograph.
3
If you agree not only to release an author’s collection, but also to participate in a collective, then you can cooperate with other authors - then publishing a book in a publishing house will cost you much less. There is another option - to take part in the creation of an almanac of the site "Poetry.ru". From time to time, site editors offer authors a place to publish in the almanac for a certain amount. For the same purpose, you can participate in one of the literary contests. Sometimes, as a prize, winning poems are published in special collections. Literary contests can be monitored on the All Contests website or on the website of the Lamp and Chimney magazine.
4
Try to release an electronic collection of verses. It does not require any costs from you, and distributing such a collection will be much easier. Of course, you won’t be able to leaf through it on a gray rainy evening, sitting in an armchair and hiding in a blanket, but what a saving of effort, time and money! (However, modern technology allows you to “flip” pages lying on the couch using miniature video players and e-books).
5
Just come to any private publishing house, pay the indicated amount, and for your money, publishers will fulfill your every whim. The cost of the service will vary depending on the amount of work and the number of copies.
6
There is another way - punch the road with your talent. If your work really deserves universal attention, then by publishing on the Internet, participating in contests and poetry evenings, you will sooner or later find sponsors who will pay all the costs of publishing your poetry collections.
