According to the law on consumer protection, jewelry cannot be returned after purchase to the store if the jewelry purchased does not fit in appearance or size. However, in some cases, the seller must accept the goods back.
Instruction manual
1
If the purchased jewelry is technically in perfect order, but you just don’t like it, try negotiating a refund with the seller. This is not provided for by law, but in practice the result depends on the goodwill of the owner of the salon. Perhaps you will be offered to exchange goods for an equivalent or pay extra for a more expensive product. To return, it is necessary that the manufacturer’s tag is present on the jewelry, as well as a purchase receipt.
2
Contact the store where the jewelry was purchased if the jewelry is found to be defective. After the examination, which is the responsibility of the owners of the jewelry store that sold you low-quality goods, the jewelry can be repaired at the store’s expense or replaced with a new one. They can also be refunded at your insistence.
3
In case of doubt about the authenticity of the test on jewelry, file a written complaint to the management of the store where the jewelry was purchased. The owner is obliged at his own expense to conduct an examination of the doubtful goods and, if recognized as false, to return the full price. If the management refuses to accept the decoration, ask for a refusal receipt, which will be useful to you when filing a complaint with supervisory authorities.
4
Contact the State Assay Chamber or the Gemological Center of Moscow State University, where they will conduct a professional examination of jewelry. If the result of the check shows that you have been sold a fake, contact the conclusion of the gemologists (stone specialists) and the application to the territorial office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service of the Russian Federation. In the statement, indicate the coordinates of the store that sold you the fake.
