The procedure for placement in a nursing home is as follows. First, a person who wants to get into this social institution submits an application to the district department of social protection of the population. There he receives to fill out two documents - social and medical forms. The social form is filled out only when medical readiness.

The difficulty is that an elderly person needs to take numerous tests, and then get a visa in the district sanitary and epidemiological station with a note that he does not have infectious diseases. A fluorogram and a double diphtheria vaccination will also be needed. You will definitely need to go through specialists: a neurologist, therapist, oncologist, dermatovenerologist, TB doctor and psychiatrist. Women will have to visit an additional gynecologist.

Please note that some test results and vaccinations have a period during which they are accepted for consideration. If the call to the nursing home is delayed for some reason, trips to specialists, unfortunately, will have to be repeated, which is extremely inconvenient, given the age of the person who needs social protection. The main discrepancy is that a notice with an invitation to an institution for the elderly is valid for ten days, and some analyzes can be ready only in a week.

In addition to a medical examination, an elderly person will need to visit a housing office and passport office to obtain certificates. It is impossible to avoid applying to the Center for calculating pensions, since the pension will need to be transferred to a nursing home.

When all bureaucratic instances are passed, a person can go to a new place of residence. The nursing home may have its own unwritten rules. As a rule, residents of a nursing home provide on-site with everything necessary. Own clothing is not welcome, but not prohibited. It is recommended to take only basic necessities with you: a mug, spoon, bathrobe, slippers.
