Since the release of the first King Kong in 1933, no other remake has been able to repeat its success. However, the latest movie version of the sensational blockbuster, released in 2005, was considered the best version of the story about a huge monkey, mainly due to the special effects involved in the film.

Instruction manual
1
The movie "King Kong" was shot in 2003-2005 by director Peter Jackson. Thus, he realized the long-held childhood dream to reshoot and make more vivid the sensational black-and-white movie of the same name, released on large screens more than 70 years ago. The picture, together with world fees, raised more than five hundred million US dollars.
2
The first work on the film in 2003 began with a sculptural direction. Famous sculptors worked on the face model of the main character of the movie - King Kong, a huge monkey. The body of the animal was based on a skeleton on which a special muscular system was sewn.
3
A gorilla of incredible proportions created the body cover from millions of artificial hairs. In order for the hair to move during the shooting process, specialized deformators were connected to the work, who could use the special devices to change the shape of each hair bundle on the gorilla's body.
4
In the work on the "revitalization" of the huge doll, Peter Jackson was helped by actor Andy Serkis, who played Gollum in The Lord of the Rings. The actor already had a similar job, it remained to take several lessons at the London zoo, where he observed the movements of gorillas and copied them.

5
All the movements of the future gorilla were recorded in the pavilion, in which numerous cameras were located around the perimeter. They were captured and recorded by the movement cameras of the face, body, legs, hands of the actor. As a result of computer processing of the recordings, the huge doll was successfully animated.
6
In many frames with the gorilla, you can notice many additional digital elements that were added by the animators and artists of the picture. Such as a splash of water, flying land from under the clutches of Kong, vegetation, houses, cars, and ships "drew in" urban frames.
7
As we know, of the special effects, not only Kong was in the frames of the new television movie, the director’s studio also prepared various inhabitants adjacent to the heroes of the film, more than fifty separate “pieces” of the island, created on a scale of 1 to 10, so that it could be more detailed show picture.
8
The old ship of 1956 was restored specifically for filming the film. For individual shots, mock-ups of the vessel were used, so that it was more convenient for the director to take some moments during strong pitching.
9
One can not help but mention the famous computer program Massive, which helped to shoot mass shots. Thanks to her, the number of people (for example, in the theater) in the frame could be increased from 300 real to 2200 thousand.
note
The famous new version of "King Kong" due to the use of new computer technologies and the huge number of prepared layouts has become the most expensive cost in world cinema for the period of 2005.
