After the script is approved, you need to make a storyboard - a frame-by-frame image of the actions in the video. This helps to graphically represent the future project. The main benefit of storyboards is that it is possible to make changes, which is not possible when shooting.

Instruction manual
1
The storyboard is somewhat reminiscent of comics. But unlike them, to create a storyboard you do not need to be a professional artist. You may not be able to draw at all. It's okay if people are depicted in the form of sticks with circles instead of their heads, and the illustrations only remotely resemble the real landscape. The main thing is to correctly indicate their location in relation to the camera: face, top view, and so on. First, decide which scenes you want to portray. It is necessary not only to cut off the excess, but also, of course, to add. Draw to a minimum, do not pile up. Of course, you will want something special, but all the special effects, explosions and the like can be added at the end of the work on the picture. When you clearly determine in what sequence and how best your plan is revealed, think about where the close-up is appropriate and where is the general one. Understand what each scene is for. Make sure that the frames are arranged in the necessary order to reveal the idea, motive or show the development of the action.
2
Facilitate your work in the future, describe on paper the work of the camera. Add movement to your drawing. arrows indicate in which direction the camera should move. Think of lighting, a place for a microphone. track how individual episodes will look at the same time, complement or contradict each other. On each picture, note the sound effects, dialogs, because sound is an integral part of the video. All this will complete your picture. If necessary, add further clarification.
3
Each time you draw a storyboard, you are immersed in the future video, thinking through each frame individually and their sequence. It is useful as a basis, although the film itself is rarely obtained exactly as it was intended. A storyboard takes a lot of time and is a process that involves many steps. But it will save your time and effort on the set.
