Despite the widespread use of the Internet and television, people did not stop reading books. And also buy them at bookstores. That is why the author who wants to publish his own work has a chance to find his audience.

Instruction manual
1
Put the electronic version of the book on the Internet. Make it news, i.e. post announcements about it on specialized sites and social networks. Together with the announcement, give a link to download the file. At your discretion, downloading a book can be made paid or free.
2
Create a book site. Place on it information about the author (biography, photo, some of his words about the book). Write an article about the history of the creation of the work. Put a few excerpts from the book so that future readers can roughly imagine what they will be dealing with. Be sure to create a section on the site in which references to the book in the press or criticism will be collected.
3
Offer the book to literary publications or critics for review. Many readers pay attention to the opinion of people known in the field of literature, listen to it, and some are openly guided only by "authoritative" opinions. So a good critical article or review is a great tool in promoting any work.
4
Offer a book for sale in bookstores (including online stores and second-hand book dealers). Search them online. Now almost all major stores have their own sites. You can also contact the employees of these stores via the Internet, telephone or directly by visiting their office.
5
Offer the book to a publisher if it has not yet been published. If the publisher agrees to release it in circulation, then you will not have to worry about its fate. Typically, large publishers enter into contracts with stores in which their books are sold.
6
Be prepared to provide documents confirming your right to the book that you intend to distribute (or by proxy from the author). Especially if you plan to make commercial profits from distribution.
note
Do not transfer the rights to the book to people who do not provide you with sufficient guarantees that it will be published and the profit from its sale will be distributed fairly.
Useful advice
Make book presentations in bookstores, clubs, cafes or organizations that are somehow related to the theme or content of the work.
