Sending a parcel abroad is now easy. Shipment is carried out by both state post offices and international delivery services. There are general rules for sending and processing accompanying documents, which can be found in these paragraphs.

By sending a parcel abroad via Russian post or the international postal service EMS, you save on the payment of customs duties due to simplified customs clearance schemes. Delivery of mail is carried out by land, sea or air and takes a lot of time, forwarding via EMS is 2 times faster.

Express delivery services, such as FeDex, UPS, TNT, DHL, deliver parcels abroad very quickly, but in addition to the high service charges, you will have to pay customs duty. You can save on the delivery of goods through these services when sending a large number of items.

Before sending a parcel abroad, check out the list of prohibited items, such as explosives and flammable substances, perishable foods, animals and plants, cultural property, information carriers that pose a security risk, and many others. Take the full list of items at the post office or delivery office.

Pack the package so that possible damage is minimized. Transfer fragile objects with cardboard, place loose substances in sealed bags, wrap sharp objects with dense packing material. Write on the parcel the address of the recipient, his surname and first name, as well as your address data.

In one copy, fill in the form of the accompanying address. In the international language (French or English) or in the language of the country where you are sending the parcel, write the address corresponding to the one you indicated on the parcel. Duplicate the recipient address in Russian. In the special column indicate what to do with the parcel in case of non-delivery to the addressee. Write the amount of declared value in rubles.

In four copies, draw up a customs declaration in Russian with interlinear translation into the international language. Enter the full address of the recipient and sender. List in the declaration all the items forwarded indicating their weight and cost.

If you send the parcel abroad via EMS or international delivery services, you will receive an invoice. By the number indicated in it, you can track the forwarding process.

Pay the necessary shipping costs. Take a check or receipt confirming payment and sending the parcel.
