When a person is lost, his relatives and friends begin to worry about his whereabouts, look for him through his own channels, ring up places and acquaintances where this person can be. If your own efforts have not led to the desired result, the relatives of the missing person should contact the nearest police station to apply for the search for the person.

Instruction manual
1
If a child is missing, parents should not waste time searching for it independently; they should immediately seek help from a police station or a local police officer. A misconception has developed among citizens that a statement to search for a person in the police is accepted only on the third day of his disappearance. This is not true. Your application will be accepted on the day you contact the authorities.
2
As soon as you find that the person has disappeared and is not in the possession of any acquaintances or in ordinary places where he happens, immediately go to the police station. Information about the disappearance of a person can also be transmitted by telephone "02". The duty officer at the police station will accept the application from you and pass it on to the direct officer. The search for missing people is carried out by special groups of security officers.
3
If you refuse to accept the application and the references to the short term of the disappearance of a person, please call "02", the city police hotline numbers or contact another strong point. Remember that you are required by law to accept and register a statement with the police on the day it is submitted.
4
You must be a close relative of the missing person, otherwise the police may refuse to accept the application for the search for the person. If you are sure that something happened to the person, he has not lived for a long time at the place of residence, he allegedly died and so on, but he does not have relatives and close people, motivate your desire to file an application for his search at the police station, explain the situation.
5
To submit an application for the search for a person, take with him his photographs, personal documents, including yours. It will also be useful if you leave as much information as possible with the police about the missing person: what he was dressed in, where it usually happens, whether he had a telephone, if he has memory problems, mental illness, and so on.
6
If you cannot find a person for a long time with the help of the police, submit the information about him, along with the photo, to the local newspapers and to the “Wait for me” program. Hang up announcements that you are looking for this person, in the city at the stops of public transport and in other places where it is crowded.
