Using the Internet, you can track the entire route of your package and find out when it reached the addressee. At each stage of the transfer, information from the postal identifier (the code-number that is assigned to the postal item at the very beginning of its “journey”) is entered into a single accounting and control system.

Instruction manual
1
Register the parcel being sent and get a unique postal identifier from the post office staff. This is a “password” of numbers and capital letters (if the parcel goes abroad), or only of numbers (if the postal item will be delivered within our country) on the check, which will need to be entered in a special line on the official website of the Russian Post. The postal ID is printed without a space.
2
If after entering the identifier the system for a long time does not indicate to you the location and status of the parcel, this may mean transferring it to the next processing stage without registering in a single accounting and control system. Without marks on the Internet, mail may be lost. If this happens, file a mail tracing application. The receipt must be attached to the document, which you were given when sending the parcel, or a photocopy of it.
3
Fill out the application legibly by hand. The form can be pre-printed from the Russian Post website. When filling out papers for the search for international mail or money transfers, write the recipient's address abroad in Latin letters. Enter the mailing number strictly in accordance with its barcode identifier. Documents with an incomplete address will not be accepted.
4
Show your passport to the post office employee. Take a voucher from him confirming that a search application has been filed.
5
If you are notified of the loss of mail, file a claim with an identity document. Your representative can also recover funds - by proxy.
note
There are approved milestones for the "travel" of parcels. Within cities of federal significance and in the administrative centers of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, it amounts to three days. Between the administrative center of the subject of the Russian Federation and the administrative centers of the municipal regions of the country - no more than four days. The standards for processing mail at “intermediate points” are no more than eight hours when shipped by land and no more than four hours when shipped by air.
