Sending an international package is subject to additional restrictions. For example, there are many bans on certain items, a list of which must be familiarized in advance. In addition, you may need to fill out a customs declaration.

Instruction manual
1
There are four types of international shipments: a parcel, a parcel, a small bag and an “M” bag. Determine which one is appropriate in a particular case. Parcels send printed editions, manuscripts, letters, photographs, etc. The package is suitable for cultural items (items, books, documents) and may have declared value.
2
The small package is suitable for small items or samples of commercial products. This type of shipment is used only for international shipment, however, you need to make sure that the recipient country supports this type of shipment. A small package can be simple or custom.
3
Bag "M" is used to send print media (correspondence) to the same addressee by one sender. The bag is simple and with declared value.
4
Make sure that the items or goods being shipped are not in the list of prohibited items. The full list can be viewed on the mail site or read in the post office. Common to all types of items is the ban on leaflets calling for terrorist or extremist activities, propaganda of Nazi symbols, photographs and other pornographic materials, explosive substances, cutting objects, weapons, drugs, etc.
5
Please note that sending an international package will require additional supporting documentation, filling out a customs declaration. The basic set is the form of the Covering Address and Customs Declaration No. 23.
6
Fill in the information about the sender and the recipient on the form of the accompanying address, indicate the value of the parcel if necessary, and on the back you can give instructions on what to do with the shipment if the recipient does not appear.
7
Customs declaration No. 23 is filled out for parcels and small packets of commercial content (goods or samples of goods). In the declaration, give a complete description of the invested goods separately, the number of identical items, weight, cost, currency, country code of origin and the presence of a license or certificate.
8
Attach the completed declaration document on the outside of the parcel or package or put it in a transparent, self-adhesive package. The document must be completed in the language accepted in the recipient country, the universal languages are French and English.
9
Additional supporting documents are the List of investments and the Notification of delivery, which are used mainly by organizations or enterprises.
note
To send a foreign parcel, it is not necessary to go to the post office, currently there are companies that will do this for an additional fee. The sender only needs to print the necessary forms of documents that are on the company’s website, fill them out and call the courier at home.
Useful advice
There are special computer programs that allow you to enter the necessary data on the parcel, print forms, sign and send it to the post office.
