If you want to become a citizen of another country, being currently a citizen of Uzbekistan, you will have to collect a lot of documents in order for your application to be granted.

All documents necessary for renouncing citizenship of the Republic of Uzbekistan must be submitted to the OIA of this country in 3 copies according to the list.

Write the application for renunciation of citizenship addressed to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Attach the following documents to the application: application form; an autobiography drawn up in the form (if relatives are traveling with you, you must provide in the application form and all the necessary information about them); a certified copy of all pages of the Uzbek passport; 3 photos 4 × 5 cm; certified copies of birth and marriage certificates (if children are traveling with you, provide their birth certificates); written consent of children from 14 to 18 years of age for renunciation of citizenship, certified by a notary; the consent of the second parent, expressing his attitude to the child’s departure for permanent residence in another country (if only one of the parents leaves with the child); written confirmation of persons dependent on you that there are no material claims against you (if there are such persons); certified copies of the passports of your close relatives who are residents of other countries (if any).
At the request of the UVViG of Uzbekistan, you will have to provide other documents confirming your lack of material and other obligations with respect to citizens and organizations of this country. In addition, you may need a certificate of divorce and the death of your close relatives and documents on the adoption or deprivation of parental rights.

All information contained in the documents must be clear and complete. Corrections are not allowed.

Each of the three necessary packages of documents must be filed in a separate folder in accordance with the above list. Present the documents by appearing in person at the UVViG, or send them by registered mail. Within a year, a decision will be made at your request.
