Organization of work with youth should be carried out purposefully, in close cooperation with the administration, internal affairs bodies, as well as the media. How to interest not only young people themselves in full-fledged work, but also try to attract representatives of the authorities who are not tired of broadcasting from high tribunes about the need for a full-fledged youth policy?
Instruction manual
1
For qualified work with youth, specialists and funds are always needed. Not a single professional teacher will agree to work with young people for "thank you", and the organization of any event is always associated with considerable expenses. Some help, of course, will be provided by volunteers from among the same schoolchildren or students, but, firstly, they can pay attention to it only 2-3 hours a day, and, secondly, they do not have full-fledged experience in such work.
2
Contact the Department of Social and Youth Policy (or similar) in order to present them with your youth work plan in the following areas: - special work (prevention of deviant behavior); - interest education (electives, clubs, sections, circles, studios); - organization of the media (dissemination of information of interest to young people of different social groups); - education (formal and informal, retraining); - developmental and recreational activities (youth camps); - labor education (volunteering and ofi social employment); - interregional and international work.
3
Listen to suggestions and comments on the plan. Make adjustments to the plan and make an approximate cost estimate for the initial organization of work with youth. Make a proposal to organize in the near future a round table, seminar or conference on these issues with the involvement of the media, representatives of the administration and internal affairs bodies.
4
Develop a program of a round table (seminar, conference). Contact the administration or sponsors with a proposal for its implementation. Announce it in the media no later than six months before it begins.
5
Do not waste time before the conference and, with the help of the administration, the media and sponsors, begin to implement your plan. Pay special attention not only, as is often the case, to children from dysfunctional families or gifted youth, but to everyone equally. Create a city youth council of those young men and women who are truly authoritative in one sphere or another, or hold a kind of open vote with the help of the media.
6
Hold a round table (conference, seminar) on pressing issues of youth policy in the region, country and the world. You can use the materials of this event for the full organization of work in all areas of youth policy, since it is in this area that decisions should be taken all together in order to have a tangible result.
