Citizens of Russia require a visa to enter Sweden. This state is part of the Schengen zone. Tourists have the right to travel to all countries that have signed the agreement, having received permission from one of them. The procedure for obtaining a visa is maximally simplified and should not cause any difficulties.

Instruction manual
1
Collect the documents necessary for obtaining a visa. If you are traveling as an independent tourist, then you need to contact the embassy in person. A trip on a tour allows you to make a power of attorney for a third party at a notary and entrust him with paperwork. Also, a travel agency can deal with this procedure. But she must have accreditation at the embassy.
2
Fill out the application form in English and Swedish and sign it. Provide confirmation that you have fully paid for the hotel. If you go on a trip through a travel agency, present a document that proves this. Make a copy of the spread of the passport and all pages of the Russian passport that have marks on it. Take a job certificate confirming employment and position. A bank statement is also required, confirming that you have enough money to travel (at least 40 euros per day). Get health insurance that will be valid in Sweden and the Schengen countries. For children under 18 years of age traveling on their own, permission of legal representatives is required.
3
Pay the visa fee. If you need to get permission to enter in a short time, then the amount of the fee will be 2 times more. Children under 6 years old, students of Swedish universities and immediate relatives of citizens of the country are exempted from the visa fee. If you are refused a visa, the paid fee will not be refunded.
4
Submit your visa application at least 7 days before departure. As a matter of urgency (3 days in advance), the documents will be accepted for consideration if you have a ticket with the indicated date on hand. A visa is usually issued for 90 days, but your presence in the country is limited by the time indicated on the hotel reservation or invitation.
