- - old passport, if any;
- - money to pay the fee;
- - 2 photos.
Instruction manual
1
Gather the necessary documents. If the previous passport was stolen from you, get a police certificate about it. If you receive a passport for the first time, and for some reason you do not have a birth certificate, get a duplicate at your local registry office. If you constantly live in another country, you must also provide your passport for registration. For those who have obtained Russian citizenship, upon receipt of Russian documents you need to present an identity card obtained in your country.
2
Take a picture on your passport. The photo must meet the standards, be black and white. A person on it should be without a hat, with the exception of cases if it is prohibited by his religion. If you have poor eyesight, you can take pictures with glasses.
3
Come to the bank and pay the fee for issuing a passport. For 2011, it is 200 rubles if you change your passport in connection with reaching the appropriate age, and 500 rubles if you yourself lost or ruined the document ahead of schedule. You can download the receipt form on the website of the Federal Migration Service (FMS) or fill it out according to the model presented in any branch of Sberbank.
4
Find the nearest FMS office. This can be done, again, using the website of this government organization. Call there and check their opening hours.
5
Come to the FMS in your area during business hours. Fill out a passport application form. Upon receipt of the questionnaire, explain to the FMS employee why you are getting a new passport. Depending on the situation, the form of the questionnaire may vary. Also check with the employee when you can pick up the finished document.
6
On the indicated day, come to the FMS office in person. When you receive your passport, do not forget to put your signature in the appropriate box. This must be done in the presence of the FMS employee, otherwise your document will be invalid.
