Often there are cases when a person reads the words of prayer by heart, not paying attention to their meaning. He does this, of course, not on purpose, but because the prayer was created in Church Slavonic or in a different, not all well-known, language.

Instruction manual
1
To learn to understand the words of prayer, devote at least one hour daily to reading religious literature. Gradually, you will become accustomed to the speech of the clergy, which is close to the language in which the prayers are written, and you will cease to consider it incomprehensible and perceive it as something unusual.
2
Attend the church. Since prayers, both morning and evening, are often taken from the Holy Scriptures, it will be useful for you to listen to divine services. In addition, the temples have a special atmosphere that allows people to feel closer to the Lord and, therefore, to understand the words of prayer with their hearts.
3
Study the Church Slavonic language. Please note that it is somewhat different from the Old Slavonic language. By the way, even philologists cannot always understand prayers with ease, since the ancient language has changed a lot over time, and not always for scientific reasons: in the old days, scribes, when creating religious books, often made mistakes that other people copied, etc.
4
While praying, listen to the meaning of her words. Every sound you make must be meaningful. You can, of course, pray without thinking about what you are saying: provided that the person is determined to communicate with higher powers, this also turns out to be effective, but it is better to combine thought, word and a rush of soul, because the unity of these components contains great force.
5
If you do not understand the words of prayer, or if they seem alien to you, far from your worldview, do not pronounce them through force: there will be no sense from this anyway. Better turn to the Lord in a language close to your heart: he will certainly hear you. In the morning, ask God to give you strength to do good deeds, in the evening - thank Him for everything that he sent you, no matter whether it was joy or trial: most importantly, you are not forgotten. Know that anyone who seeks the path to the light will surely find it.
