The police are obliged to register all reports of crimes committed or being prepared, or reports of threats that come to them from citizens, from legal entities. And also check any information that has become known from other sources, including the media. However, life often happens differently. Therefore, a correctly compiled statement is the key to its quick consideration and timely measures to curb criminal acts, capture intruders and minimize the harmful consequences caused by criminal acts.
Instruction manual
1
Writing a threat statement begins with filling the so-called “heading”, which, as a rule, is located in the upper right corner. It indicates the name of the body or official to which you are applying, his rank or rank, last name, first name, patronymic of the applicant, address of residence, and if possible indicate the contact phone number.
2
Further, in the center of the sink, the word "Statement" is written. Then in free style it is necessary to state the essence of the danger that threatens you. The text is best composed of small clear sentences that contain only the facts that matter. In a statement, it is better to avoid all sorts of expressions such as "perhaps, " "probably." If you have documentary evidence of a danger to you or an already committed crime, attach copies of these documents, indicating their list and the number of sheets in the text of the statement.
3
After stating the essence, indicate your request to consider your application in accordance with the current legislation (you can make references to the relevant articles in the text) and conduct a procedural check on the facts indicated in the application. You can add a proposal for a written notice of the decision made on your application. This must be done so that you have the opportunity to appeal in case of disagreement with the results. It’s just that in practice this norm is very often violated, and the applicant sometimes remains in ignorance for a long time, and then precious time is lost and it becomes difficult and sometimes impossible to achieve his goal.
4
The last line in the application must indicate the fact that you are warned of criminal liability under Art. 306 of the Criminal Code for knowingly false denunciation. With this record you will deprive the police officer of the reason to reject your application because of the possible false denunciation and the absence of any responsibility for this. After that, sign the application, decipher your signature, indicating next to your last name and initials, put the current date.
5
Take the completed application to any nearby police station and contact the duty officer to receive it. Do not succumb to excuses of this type that it is necessary to contact the place of the crime or that the applications are accepted at a certain time. According to the instructions, messages are received and registered around the clock and in any department. If the crime was committed elsewhere, your application will be sent to the area of jurisdiction where it should be examined on the merits. By simply submitting an application at the scene of the crime, you save time by sending it to another department.
note
You can file a threat statement in writing or orally. The text of the statement should be written down from your words, to refuse this you are not entitled. Oral statements are compiled by filling out a protocol on acceptance of the oral statement.
Useful advice
When drafting a statement at the police station, officers often dictate everything that needs to be indicated. In such cases, carefully follow the text of the written and do not agree to enter what you do not agree with.
When preparing an application at home, you can find an approximate form on the Internet and, if possible, print the text on a computer. After all, not everyone has a calligraphic handwriting, but printed text will save the police from wasting time and effort on decoding the text you wrote.
