Therefore, it is very important to make the introductory part fascinating, dynamic and so that the reader’s eye enjoys the hero, characters and verbal lace. 1
Weather description
This is a reinforced concrete classic. Thus, the writer immediately indicates the time and place of action, conveys the emotional mood of the heroes. They can be sad, like autumn rain, but they can, on the contrary, feel very comfortable in their warm room with large windows. There can only be two rules. The first is to avoid banalities in the spirit: "It was a beautiful summer day." The second is to carefully comb out your text for stylistic mistakes like: "It was raining and the company of the Red Army."
2
Description of the protagonist
The appearance of the hero is a concentrate of his moral and intellectual qualities, a photograph of his social stratum and lifestyle, the starting point of the dramatic conflict that will unfold throughout the entire text. In its simplest form, it may look like this: "On those rare days when Maria Ivanovna decided to perform her favorite arias, it seemed to neighbors that this air was walking in faulty water pipes." And then you can unfold the story of the domestic conflict of the original, but not very happy lady and her communal neighbors.
3
Aphorism or joke
A capacious and biting phrase that attracts attention from the first line. The reader is waiting to continue and page by page is woven into the plot canvas. For example: "If you clone me, I will take over the world. Do not believe me? Then listen to what happened to me last week." Or: "Ivan Ivanovich was a peaceful person, so peaceful that he liked to repeat:" Anyone who doubts my peacefulness will be washed with blood. "But for some reason no one doubted." Through the description of the character, the author shows his attitude towards people with blurred moral principles. Or, on the contrary, to show a person so pathetic that he constantly needs to swagger in front of others.
4
Situation
The description immediately begins with a bright everyday scene. For example, quarrels of lovers or an unexpected meeting. In this case, the author will have to prescribe a rich and vivid dialogue of the characters, to attract the reader’s attention with the author’s speech. In replicas, flat phrases should be avoided. Instead of the banal "Hello", it is better to choose a greeting that matches the character. The infantile girl will say "Hello." An artsy intellectual may put it: "Ah, what an accidental meeting." The author himself must decide what intonations his characters will say. Maybe his gangster will speak like a solfeggio teacher. And the reader will want to know what happened to him.
note
It is no secret that the authors rewrite the beginning of stories or short stories several times. This is absolutely normal. If the author writes at the computer, then it is worth putting a sheet of paper and colored pens next to him. and celebrate ideas.
Useful advice
If the text does not go at all, it is better to make a technical beginning: "This story began in …" or "I want to tell you about …" And return to the beginning in a few days when the author’s pen reaches the final point.
