Traditionally, church oil was used in Orthodox churches as an integral part of the Sacrament of Blessing. As a rule, this ritual is called the Unction, since it requires the gathering of seven clergymen. Today, church oil is used by believers for various purposes and at home.

Instruction manual
1
In the event of a serious illness or a sudden ailment, visit an Orthodox church and undergo the ceremony of the Sacrament of Blessed Sacrifice, in which church oil is necessarily used. When going to church, take a dish with wheat with you, and then during the ceremony the priest himself will install a vessel with church oil in a container with grain already poured there. During the Sacrament of Blessing, the clergy will call on you the grace of God for the speedy healing of spiritual and bodily diseases, as well as the remission of all sins committed without malicious intent.
2
After adding red wine, associated with the blood of Christ, into a dish with wheat, pick up a lit candle and watch the priest stick sticks and seven candles in the dish you brought with grain. When the clergyman reads the prayers suggesting this ritual and anoints your forehead, cheeks, hands, and chest, be sure to ask him for the church oil remaining after the sacrament, which you can then use at home if you have or worsen any ailments at home or at toddlers.
3
Bring not only oil from the church, but also wheat, into which a container with such oil was inserted, since now the priests no longer burn all the elements used in the Sacrament of Blessed Sacrament, but willingly give them out to parishioners at their personal request. As a rule, in the charters of Orthodox churches it is not written how to use church oil at home, but priests are allowed to smear oil on sore spots, even for people who, for whatever reason, have not passed the ritual of Unification.
4
If the Sacrament of the Blessed Sacrament did not affect you immediately after leaving the Orthodox Church, do not despair. Use the firs brought from the temple to be healed, to receive relief during a serious illness, to awaken the forces of the body for the easiest transfer of the disease. In the evenings after prayer, find the best use of church oil by lubricating sore spots.
5
When your baby cries for no reason, oil him with whiskey and forehead, and in case of vagaries due to painful teething, apply a little church oil to his mouth or gums. Church oil, sanctified on the relics of saints, is often sold directly in churches, and when using this oil for healing after spreading a sore spot, read a prayer in honor of the saint, asking for his help.
