In the minds of many Russians, Sweden is an example of a calm, prosperous and convenient length of the country's life. However, with immigration into this bastion of well-being for persons who are not citizens of the European Union, everything is very difficult. But this does not mean that moving is impossible. There are several completely legal ways to stay in Sweden forever, to obtain a residence permit, work permit, and subsequently citizenship.

There is a very limited list of routes for moving to Sweden on a legal basis. All of them are listed on the official website of the Swedish Embassy. According to the law, the right to reside in Sweden has the right to family members of citizens of this country (husbands, wives, minor children), students entering Swedish universities, scientists who have received invitations from universities or laboratories, as well as persons opening their own business in Sweden. Please note that the last three categories receive only a temporary residence permit.
2
The main point for everyone who wants to leave is learning the Swedish language. Keep in mind that even to get an entry-level level, you need at least a year of intensive training. When learning a language, try on the possible options for immigration. Please note that your application for an entry visa will be seriously considered by the embassy and if they consider the reason for your departure unconvincing, you will be refused. The main question you will be asked is "Why do you want to leave for Sweden"? Consider how convincing your case will be. For example, if you plan to conduct scientific work, its topic should be directly related to this country. Take a look at the reason for leaving through the eyes of an embassy worker - would you be convinced by your own reasons?
3
It is more difficult to leave for Sweden to study than in some other countries. Education here is paid, for admission you need very good English (if it comes to business schools) and, most importantly, a certain level of knowledge of Swedish. For many universities, the Swedish language is a prerequisite for admission. If you are staying on a student visa, you need a bachelor's degree from one of the Russian universities. You must choose an educational institution (a list of them can be found, for example, on the official website of the Swedish Embassy), write a letter of motivation to his address and receive confirmation of admission. Students of Swedish universities have the right to apply for a scholarship - public, or paid from private foundations. You can apply for a scholarship in parallel with choosing a university.

The most popular option for women is immigration through marriage. To do this, you must marry a Swedish citizen in Russia, or enter Sweden as a bride. Two years after the registration of the marriage, the wife of a citizen of Sweden receives a permanent residence permit in this country. If she has minor children, after registering her marriage, she will be able to transport them to Sweden under the family reunification program.
5
Another option for moving is to acquire citizenship of any other EU country. Choose a country that is considering issuing a permanent residence permit based on the purchase of real estate - for example, Greece or Cyprus. By acquiring the citizenship of this country, you have the right to legal entry into Sweden.
