The grandparents of today's babies were also children. Like all children in the world, they loved to play, and they had no computers or game consoles. But there were a lot of outdoor, board, role-playing games that could be of interest to modern children. Attributes can be made with your own hands.

As children, current grandparents spent a lot of time on the street. As soon as the snow melted, groups of girls and boys appeared in all yards with balls, skipping ropes, knives and other interesting objects. It was not necessary to buy a rope at all in a store - for some games you needed something like a rope that could not be found on sale. Suitable, for example, a piece of rubber hose. To play "hopscotch", you only needed a piece of chalk and a cue ball - a sand-filled jar of shoe cream or candy filled with sand. The most ordinary stone could serve as a cue ball.

"Classics" there were a great many. Almost every yard had its own rules. The most popular option is "simple." On a flat ground, draw a rectangle, dividing it with a longitudinal line into 2 identical strips, each of which, in turn, is divided into 5 squares by horizontal lines. In the corner of each box, put a number. “Kdassikov” is only ten, the player must jump into each in turn, without stepping on the line. After the first five squares, you can sometimes relax. In that part of the rectangle that is further from the first and tenth squares, draw a semicircle and write the word "rest" there. However, there were options for the game, when in this semicircle they wrote something like “fire” or “heat”, and then it was impossible to jump into it in any case. The game can go on for quite some time. The player stands in front of the box with the number "1", throws a cue ball into this box and jumps on it on one leg. In exactly the same way, he must slip through all the squares. Special conditions stipulate whether you can lower your leg or not. In general, the method is agreed in advance. You can jump on two legs, with your eyes closed, back forward, etc. The Moscow Classics had a different configuration, it was necessary to jump on them on one foot, then on two. In general, everyone could come up with the rules - as, incidentally, the location of the squares. The initiative was very welcome.

No less than the classics, there were options for playing with a skipping rope. To start, just try jumping on two legs, twisting the rope forward. There can be two ways - with and without a jump. In the first version, the middle of the rope touches the floor, the player jumps through it, and then, as the cord passes behind him, jumps again. With the second option, you need to rotate the rope very quickly so that you do not touch the ground for the second time. The rules varied. You could twist the rope forward, backward, jump on one or two legs, alternate legs, cross them. You could play in pairs. For example, one girl started the game and should not have been interrupted, and the second needed to quickly jump under the rope, stand in front and also start jumping. If one of the partners stepped on a rope, the couple had to rest, and the other team took its place. The one who will make more jumps and will not be mistaken won.
4
There were also options for skipping rope games, when two players twisted the cord, and the third jumped. The jump rope for such a game should be quite long and heavy, so usually nobody likes to twist. At the beginning of the game, select the “spinners” as a reading room, and then they will be replaced by the one who stepped on the rope. Start twisting, the third player must jump and jump as the rules require. For example, in the old days this option was practiced. The player jumps in, makes one jump over the rope and runs out. The second player jumps in, also makes one jump and jumps out. In the next round, it was necessary to jump over the cord twice, then - three times, etc. The one who made the most jumps won. You can twist the rope both towards the players, and in the opposite direction. The position of the legs can also be agreed in advance.
5
For a beginner, there was a simpler version of the game with a skipping rope. Place two players who must pull the rope a short distance from the ground. The third player let him jump in any convenient way. In the next round, the rope is raised higher, then even higher. When the jumper touches her, he replaces one of the tensioners. The next time he gets the opportunity to jump, the rope is pulled at the level at which the player dropped out in the last lap.

On the street, children played games of low mobility. Such games include, for example, the game of "knives". Draw a circle on the ground and divide it by the number of players. Each player must stand on his piece of land. Draw by lot the one who will throw the knife first. The knife should stick into the neighbor’s land. If this succeeds, the thrower is allowed to cut off a piece of "enemy territory" by connecting the place where the knife stuck with the center with a straight line. A player who has no land left is eliminated. How to throw a knife should be agreed in advance. This can be done while squatting, standing, kneeling, etc. The most agile players threw a knife over his shoulder.
