July 18, 1960 in Gorky (Nizhny Novgorod) the future gentleman of the Order of Friendship and a member of the Union of Filmmakers of the Russian Federation was born. Despite the fact that Andrei's parents had nothing to do with the world of art and culture (father is a driver, and mother is a supply manager at a vocational school), a boy from a young age had a special interest in literature and acting, which was expressed in his active participation in school life drama circle.
From the school bench at the age of fifteen, Ilyin moved to the Gorky Theater School, which he successfully graduated in 1979. Distributing into the Riga Russian Drama Theater under the direction of Arkady Katz, he plays the roles of children's characters in his debut performances. The first serious theatrical work of Andrei was the role of Khlestakov in The Examiner. And then, important scenic images poured from the cornucopia: Treplev in The Seagull, Alexei Ivanovich in The Player, and even Hamlet himself, who at all times was considered the standard of stage skill.
