Biography
Igor Wernick was born in 1963 in Moscow. His family was quite creative: father Emil is a national artist of Russia, and his mother Anna is a music teacher. Igor has a twin brother, Vadim, who later became a TV presenter, as well as an older brother Rostislav, who chose an acting career.
Igor Vernik successfully graduated from music school, having mastered the piano perfectly. However, he sang well. He continued his further studies at the Moscow Art Theater School and began to comprehend acting. The young man proved himself to be the best here too, and after passing the exams he began to perform at the Chekhov Moscow Theater, on the stage of which he still plays.
Very quickly Igor was noticed on television. For the first time, he appeared as a host on the TV show “Easy than Easy, ” which was aired on TVC. Later he participated in the filming of television shows such as Saturday Night with a Star, Good Morning, Night Life, KVN and others. Nevertheless, Igor prefers a theater stage and cinema.
Igor Wernick has a solid filmography, numbering the main roles in dozens of major films and television series. For the most part, he prefers the genre of comedy, which includes projects such as “Daddy’s daughters”, “He is Carloson!”, “Love in the big city”, “Kitchen”, “Champions” and many others. More recently, the latest hire hits with the actor: “All About Men” and “Take a Blow, Baby” were released. Since 1999, Wernick has the title of Honored Artist of the country.
