Igor Azarov is a Russian composer and singer. The peak of his creative career came at the beginning of the 90s, when he began to actively collaborate with Lyubov Uspenskaya. Azarov wrote the music for her hits Carousel, Toward the Only Tender, and I Am Missing.

Biography: early years
Igor Alexandrovich Azarov was born on January 21, 1961 in Pavlovsk, near Voronezh. His real name is Yeskov. Alexander considered it unsound for a creative person, so he took a pseudonym.
As a child, Azarov attended a music club. The teacher immediately noticed his outstanding vocal abilities. And Alexander began to work on the technique of singing. His first listeners were friends and neighbors.
After school, Azarov moved to Petersburg, where he entered the vocal department of the school at the Conservatory. Rimsky-Korsakov. Having received a red diploma, he decided not to return to his native Pavlovsk, but to remain in the Northern capital. His vocal coach Maria Korkina recommended continuing her studies at the conservatory, but Alexander was eager to get on stage.
In 1982, Alexander fell into the famous Leningrad ensemble "Singing Guitars", which at that time was already rattling throughout the Union. On the advice of the leaders of the collective, he began to speak under a pseudonym.
Soon Alexander was drafted into the army. After the service, he began to act as a soloist in the ensemble "In the rhythms of the century."
Career
Azarov liked to work in a team, but still he dreamed of solo performances. Alexander understood that this requires “strong” songs. He decided to try his hand at writing music. So the song "Through the Puddles" appeared, which quickly became a hit.
Soon, Azarov moved to Moscow, where he met with Mikhail Tanich. In co-authorship with him, he wrote such famous songs as "I love you", "Good guy", "The bridge is swinging." The latter composition was especially fond of Soviet listeners. In 1989, with this song, Azarov became the laureate of the "Song of the Year" festival. Later, the hit "The Bridge Swings" was included in her repertoire by Olga Zarubina.
Azarov wrote music for the songs of such Russian pop stars as Edita Pyekha, Mikhail Boyarsky, Tatyana Bulanova, Philip Kirkorov, Alexander Marshal. Among them stands Lyubov Uspenskaya. Azarov wrote music for a number of her hits. Its co-author was the poetess Regina Lisits.
