Biography
Cyril is a hereditary actor; he was born into the family of a theater and film actor and theater actress, who taught at VGIK on June 22, 1972. The child literally "lived behind the scenes", having traveled with famous parents all over the country and getting to know the inside of the theater.
He himself had no doubts what the future awaited him, but Cyril's parents did not want his son to choose an acting career, and they tried to occupy him with something else. Swimming, art school, football - but all this remained for Cyril only temporary hobbies.
In 1988, a tragedy occurred in the family - the car of a famous poet hit Yuri Grebenshchikov, after which he fell into a coma and died after 3 months. Cyril and his mother were left alone. But the mother, the famous Natalya Orlova, did her best to give her son a good education.
After a decade, Kirill Grebenshchikov entered the Moscow Art Theater for an artistic specialization, but after meeting with Alla Pokrovskaya, a director and actress, he switched to another acting course. And in 1995, having received a diploma, the young actor became one of the employees of the Stanislavsky Theater and immediately established himself as one of the leading stage artists.
Career
As a student, Grebenshchikov Kirill Yuryevich received a tiny role in the film "Russian Novel", and in 1998 he became a performer of a small role in the "Siberian Barber" by Mikhalkov. After that, a career in cinema was ensured for young talent, but he remained faithful to the theater, where he already played major roles in high-profile performances.
And only in 2004, he returned to the cinema, becoming one of the people who constantly appear in contemporary films. On his account - more than 60 characters in large films of various Russian directors. 2004 and 2005 brought the actor prominent roles in the series, in 2009 he played the role of Christ in the multi-part film adaptation of The Brothers Karamazov, took part in Shakhnazarov’s large-scale project Anna Karenina.
In addition to working in films and on the stage, Cyril publishes audio books and has acted as host of the Miracle Tale program on the Culture channel. Today, he is busy filming several series at once and plans to soon begin work in the filming of the full-length picture "Matryoshka".
