Grigory Izrailevich Gorin (real name - Ofshtein) was born on March 12, 1940 in Moscow. Father Gregory was a professional military man, went through the war. Mom worked as an ambulance doctor. Her maiden name - Gorinskaya - became the prototype of the pseudonym, which the writer subsequently took for himself.
From a young age, Gorin showed interest in literary work. He began to write poetry at the age of seven. His first poetic experiments were naive: the little author praised the greatness of the proletariat and called for the struggle against capitalism.
As a schoolboy, Gorin wrote comic stories of satirical content. Themes for works by the author drew from school life.
After school, Gorin entered the capital's medical institute, which he successfully graduated in 1963. For several years, Grigory Izrailevich worked as an ambulance doctor. But the love of literary work has done its job. Gorin continued to write; his satirical articles were published in popular newspapers and magazines. Gorin happened to lead the department of humor in the magazine "Youth".
Gorin's wife was Lyubov Kereselidze. Purebred Georgian, she worked as an editor at Mosfilm. Relations between the spouses were warm and trusting. Friends and colleagues considered the Gorins a happy couple.
