The singing voice of Gennady Mikhailovich Belov is a lyrical tenor. The Honored Artist of the RSFSR was distinguished by a surprisingly soft manner of singing. The long-forgotten songs in his performance again became huts, and the already known ones gained a new sound.
Way to Vocation
The biography of the future singer began in 1945. The child was born in a metropolitan family on October 30. In the parents' house, music sounded constantly. Everyone loved to sing. From early childhood, the boy became interested in performing art. At school, Belov became the soloist of the choir.
In 1959, Gennady was offered to act in films. He made his debut in one of the main roles of the short film "The Secret of VIP", Vasya. According to the scenario, three friends decide to remake the old receiver into a transmitter.
Igor's father does not give permission for such an experiment. Schoolchildren buy parts missing for a new device. They have to sell things taken from home. As a result, Petya, Igor and Vasya come into the view of the police. But here, friends decide not to reveal their secret.
In the same year, the young artist was invited to a small role in the film adaptation of Paustovsky’s work “The Northern Tale”. The film consisted of two stories. The first tells about the Russian officer Pavel Bestuzhev. Before the Decembrist uprising, he was exiled to a remote garrison. Very soon, at the cost of his life, he saves his beloved and one of the Decembrists. The amazing story continues after a century and a half.
After completing eight years of education, Gennady decided to receive further education in a textile technical school. After graduation, he began work as a master at the silk factory "Red Rose" in Moscow.
Vocal art
The young man did not give up singing. He took an active part in amateur performances, various competitions. Gennady took vocal lessons from a famous teacher. The teacher called Belov one of the best students.
Gennady was recommended to participate in the program "Hello, we are looking for talents!". On television, attention was immediately paid to the talented singer by specialists. Viktor Popov, who led the Song Ensemble of the All-Union Radio and Central Television, proposed a promising contestant to become a soloist.
Listeners quickly fell in love with amazing softness and sincerity, the lyrical voice of extraordinary beauty. Belova was distinguished by a calm and noble singing manner, elegant musical phrases and penetration.
Popov invited the new vocalist to perform the song "Blackbirds". In his interpretation, the composition sounded on All-Union Radio in the summer of 1973. Celebrity came to the singer after the broadcast. Almost immediately, the hit came out on a gramophone record. The company "Melody" has released 100 thousand flexible minions.
In 1973, Belov was invited to the Moskontsert. At the same time he entered GITIS, in the pop department, wanting to get a musical education. In 1974, the film "Aniskin and Fantomas" was released. Performed by Gennady Mikhailovich in the film sounded the song "Herbs, herbs." A resounding success turned her into a smash hit.
Confession
Many famous composers collaborated with the performer. An unusual manner attracted authors who strove for the soulfulness of their works. In the repertoire of the artist appeared "At the distant station I’ll go down, " "This big world, " "Dawn Wizard."
Particularly successful was the work with David Tukhmanov. The popular composer offered the singer his songs "Hello, Mom", and "Starry Sky Song". The artist managed to breathe new sound into the famous creation of Solovyov-Sedogo “Where are you, my garden?”.
The author himself, who knew a lot of interpretations of his composition, heard versions recognized by him as ideal. Therefore, with distrust and skepticism, he reacted to the proposal to listen to his creation performed by Belov.
However, to the amazement of the author of such an interpretation, he had never before heard. After the last bars played out, Soloviev-Sedoi barely restrained himself not to ask the performer to sing again. The composition popular in the forties was so delicately crafted by the singer that the author experienced great joy in its new sound.
In the mid-seventies Belov left the Ensemble of the Radio and Central Television. He completely switched to work at the Mosconcert. He toured a lot, recorded songs at the company "Melody". In 1978, Gennady Mikhailovich represented the country at the World Festival of Youth and Students in Havana. He became his laureate. Many times, the singer presented hits at the song contest of the year.
