Gamzat Tsadasa is a great Dagestan Arabist, poet and thinker. Besides literary work, Gamzat Tsadasa took a great part in the public life of the mountain republic. For his services, he became a laureate of the Stalin Prize and received the title of People's Poet of the Dagestan Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic.

High in the mountains of Dagestan is the famous Hunzan region, where two great people were born in the aul of Tsad - father and son. Gamzat Tsadas and Rasul Gamzatov.
Translated into Russian, "tsadasa" means "fiery."
In the aul they carefully preserve the memory of their countrymen. Here a museum was created in memory of Tsadasa in a stone sakla, which was built by Gamzat Tsadasa and his beloved wife, Handulai.
Biography
Gamzat Tsadas was born on August 9, 1877.
The boy was an orphan from an early age. Parents died, a respectable man became his guardian, who decided that the boy would be fine at the school at the mosque. This school was located in the village of Ginichutl. This place for every Dagestan was a center where cultural and religious traditions and knowledge are kept. The library of the school kept ancient medieval books, manuscripts and unique editions of the Koran - the holy book of Muslims.
Arab scholars such as Dibir Ali worked here. He was known for his spiritual achievement. Dibir Ali was able to rewrite the Quran 750 times.
Study and work
Enlightenment in Dagestan during the years of Gamzat Tsadasa’s life was at a high level. More than 740 mosque schools worked here, where 7, 500 children were educated. All received worthy knowledge, were fluent in the Arabic language, became cadias, mullahs and readers of the holy book.
Gamzat Tsadas was very gifted and began his work early. He wrote fervent verses and fables, while still a schoolboy.
He took a course in studying such sciences as history, geography, philosophy, and jurisprudence. Reading literary books, the young man became acquainted with European literature. He was equally interested in classical oriental poetry, and Voltaire, Goethe, Hugo. For twenty years of training, Gamzat Tsadasa has assembled an excellent library. Due to the properties of his memory, Gamzat possessed unique knowledge - he recited the Holy Quran by heart. The young scientist received well-deserved recognition among the Arabists.

After graduation, Gamzat became a mullah. In his care were the inhabitants of the villages of the Hunzakh plateau. When he needed to plunge deeply into the study of the history of the Caucasian war, the scientist went to work as a cadmium (judge) in Gimry. Gamzat communicated on religious topics with his contemporaries who studied theology, such as Alim Rajab Haji.
