Biography
Sinatra was born on 12/12/1915 in a family of Italian immigrants in New Jersey. His father was a well-known professional boxer, and his mother served as chairman of the Democratic Party in Haboken. The family lived poorly compared to other emigrants from Italy on the east coast of the United States.
In his youth, Sinatra became interested in music. He used his ukulele skills to earn pocket money. The singer never received an education. At 16, he was expelled from school for constant violations of discipline.
In the mid-1930s, Frank and his friend put together the band "The Hoboken Four". In 1935, the team won the contest of young talents. After the victory, the group went on a tour of American cities.
The real success came to the musician in the early 1940s. It was during this period that Sinatra began performing with the jazz orchestras of Dorsey and James, and he was noticed by prominent figures in the US show business.
Already in 1946, Frank recorded his first music album. Two years later, another disc came out. After a black streak came in Sinatra's personal life and creative career - the wife filed for divorce, and the affair with the famous actress Ava Gardner grew into a big scandal. He was fired from the radio, concerts in New York were canceled, and MGM terminated the contract.
To top it off, the singer suddenly lost his voice in 1951. Sinatra drew attention to the cinema. In 1953, he played in the film "From Now and Forever." Frank received an Oscar for his role in this film. At the same time, the singer regained his voice and began performing with the band "Rat Pack" in Las Vegas. In addition to recording new albums, the singer began to star in films ("Manchu Candidate", "High Society" and so on).
For his creative activity, Sinatra recorded about a hundred hit songs. About 60 albums were released.
