Starting conditions
Most often, young people care little about the instructions of the elderly. They invent their own goals in life and rush to them. But only very few reach the desired milestone. Jerzy Binchitsky did not want to connect his fate with the theater or cinema. Yes, he loved to watch paintings at the cinema, and puppet shows in the town square. He liked being a spectator. The desire to go on stage himself arose as a teenager. The boy fell in love with a neighbor's girl. Once she told him that she likes to watch performances in the city theater.
The future actor and director was born on September 6, 1937 in a family of a stove-maker and a seamstress. Parents lived in the famous city of Krakow. My father was engaged in the installation of heating systems in houses. Mother fulfilled orders for sewing women's clothing. The child grew up and was brought up on the street. In difficult times after the war, Jerzy dreamed of becoming a seller in a store where cakes were sold. Or a policeman who scared the boys running on tram tracks. At school Binchitsky studied well. In high school, he began to attend a theater studio in order to attract the attention of classmates by playing on stage.
On the theatrical stage
After graduating from school, Jerzy decided to get a specialized education at the local Ludwig Solsky Academy of Theater Arts. Getting into this institution was not so easy. But pan Binchitsky perfectly passed all the tests. He began to go on stage as a student. The first work as a certified actor was noted by critics and spectators. Jerzy made his debut in the play "People of the Kingdom." In 1965, the already held actor went to work at the Old Cracow Theater. And he served here for many years. In 1998, he was appointed director.
In the movie, the actor’s career was quite satisfactory. In 1975, Binchitsky played a major role in the film "Nights and Days." For this, he was awarded three prestigious prizes in various categories. Including the State Prize of the Polish People’s Republic. The actor achieved maximum success and recognition after the release of the cult film "Healer" on the screens. Love and adoration of the audience is difficult to convey in words. Critics considered that it was in this picture that Binchitsky reached the maximum height in his work.
