Evgeny Grishkovets is a man-theater. And no matter what he does on stage, he immediately attracts the attention of the viewer. And he often says in simple terms things very important, philosophical, about love and friendship, about the value of this life. Sometimes after his speeches I feel like crying.
Childhood
Evgeny Grishkovets was born in Kemerovo in 1967. He had a friendly family, his parents were still at university, but they always took little Zhenya with them. The boy was very sensitive to reality and even then gathered in his piggy bank impressions of life.
Soon, parents moved to Leningrad, and Eugene recalls that he really missed his native Kemerovo. However, when the family returned back to Siberia, Eugene began to miss already in Leningrad.
Education and military service
After school, Eugene entered the philological faculty of Kemerovo State University. But the study stretched for a long time, since Eugene from the second year was taken into the army. Military service seemed useless to the young man, but later he appreciated her contribution to his life when he devoted one of his solo performances to this topic.
Theater and Literature
Evgeny Grishkovets is a diverse personality. In almost all areas of art, he left his mark. But still, the main thing in his work was always the theater. Grishkovets stands apart in a crowd of Russian directors and actors. His favorite genre is a one-man show, which he performs in a manner peculiar only to him. Evgeny Grishkovets is a laureate of several theater awards.
In literature, Eugene also left his contribution. He is the author of several novels, as well as a playwright. In writing, Grishkovets is as peculiar as in other genres of creativity.
Music and cinema
Eugene was always interested in music, although he himself admitted that he was completely unable to sing. But together with some musical groups, Grishkovets managed to create a unique genre where, against the background of music and singing, Eugene reads a monologue, and the main meaning of the work is precisely in his words. An example is the well-known musical composition "My mood has improved."
Evgeny Grishkovets also starred in films, and his filmography is growing steadily. His roles are usually small, but played very brightly, in the manner inherent in Grishkovets.
